Going Gender Free is a multimedia journalism project exploring the growing movement that is gender neutral parenting.

Global research done by the Journal of Adolescent Health found that gender specifications placed upon children can create lasting damage into childhood- boys are taught to be strong and independent whereas girls are taught to be vulnerable and nurturing.

The seven minute radio documentary is going to tell the story of the parents who are attempting to combat these stereotypes through raising their children gender neutral. I am going to find out who they are, why they've made this choice and about the everyday lifestyle choices they are making for their children?

The target broadcaster for the documentary is going to be BBC Radio 4 and I'm going to interview case studies and experts to get a wide range of perspectives about this controversial style of parenting.
